Anakhita Sultonazarova
Anakhita Sultonazarova’s story reminds us of the power of following your dreams.
Hailing from Tajikistan, Anakhita came to the United States as part of an exchange program when she was a junior in high school. Thanks to the welcoming attitude of her host family, she found a home away from home, right here in Alabama.
Despite facing a wave of culture shock when she first relocated, Anakhita remained steadfast in her pursuit of higher education. Anakhita discovered her passion for Forensic Psychology at Wallace State.
Beyond the classroom, Anakhita embraced extracurricular opportunities, serving as President of the International Club and a member of both the Law Enforcement Club and SGA.
With unwavering academic support and her own desire to succeed, she has been accepted by her dream school, the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. Today, she is graduating with her associate degree in Forensic Psychology and will relocate to New York for the fall semester. She plans to earn her bachelor’s degree and work in a field that allows her to impact the lives of others and be an advocate for justice. Congratulations, Anakhita, and all the best to you as you move on to New York.
