Wallace State Goals for Student Achievement
Wallace State’s goals for student achievement are established through a collaborative process involving multiple constituencies. These goals are contextualized by the college’s mission to be “committed to learning that transforms lives and communities” and it’s Five-Year Strategic Plan. The following goals for student achievement were designated as priorities (“Tier One Goals”) when established in July 2012 by the college’s Administrative Council, a standing committee comprised of both elected and ex officio members:
- To promote completion (measured by graduation/completion and transfer rates)
- To promote job placement after the earning of a credential (measured by job placement rates)
- To promote success in developmental studies (measured by developmental course completion and success in gateway courses)
- To promote enrollment as a measure of interest in the programs and services offered(measured by total enrollment in credit and non-credit courses)
