The Wallace State Lions men's soccer team returned to the win column Tuesday night with a 3-1 conference victory over Enterprise State, keeping their unbeaten conference record intact.

Elijah Wong opened the scoring for the Lions in the first half, finding the back of the net off a perfectly timed assist from Juan Gazga. Wallace doubled its advantage when Javier Miranda connected on what proved to be the game-winner, slotting home a finish from a setup by Yaya Jawneh. The Lions capped off their scoring late in the match when defender Sammy Schofield rose to meet a corner kick from Austin Holley, powering in a header for Wallace's third goal.

Enterprise State managed a lone goal, but Wallace State's balance across the pitch made the difference.

Head coach James Fee praised his team's response after recent challenges. "Game went well, we were back to winning ways," Fee said. "Juan Gazga and Santiago Acosta were both anchors in midfield for us today, winning the ball back and fighting for every second ball."

With the victory, Wallace State improves to 5-1-2 overall and 3-0-1 in conference play. The Lions will look to continue their momentum on Saturday when they travel to face Calhoun at the Jack Allen Recreational Complex in Decatur. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
