Dental Assisting program celebrates recent graduates

The Dental Assisting Class of 2025 celebrated their accomplishments with faculty during a pinning ceremony held on Monday, July 27, at the James C. Bailey Center at Wallace State Community College.
Hanceville, Ala. — Wallace State Community College’s Dental Assisting program celebrated its latest graduates with a pinning ceremony held on Monday, July 27, at the James C. Bailey Center.
“Today we are celebrating their accomplishment and honoring the completion of the program,” said Susan Brewer, Director of the Dental Assisting program.
“Congratulations, Class of 2025,” said Class President Briana Cummings of Bremen.
“I could not have asked for better classmates. You are all amazing, and I am so proud
of each and every one of you here today.”
Clinical Coordinator Halli Melton welcomed the graduates to the field of dental assisting.
“The pinning ceremony holds a special significance for our students,” Melton said. “It symbolizes the transition from student to professional, from learner to practitioner. We have every confidence that these graduates will make meaningful contributions to the field of dental assisting. They represent the next generation of leaders, innovators, and advocates who will shape the future of oral healthcare.”
Several students were recognized with awards during the ceremony, including:

- Kayley Daniel, Taylor Vaughn – Academic Excellence Award
- Jade Covaci, Summer VanScoyk, Brandy Varible – Clinical Excellence Award
- Claire Chandler – Douglas Allen Memorial Award
