More than 100 student athletes, 8 teams on ACCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll
Hanceville, Ala. - Wallace State Community College Athletics had 116 Student-Athletes across all 12 sports teams named to the 2024 Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Fall Semester. Standards for the Honor Roll require student athletes to achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the course of the semester.
While Wallace State placed over 100 student athletes on the Individual Honor Roll list; eight different teams made the Team Honor Roll list as well. Baseball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Golf, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis and Volleyball teams all achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
"These student athletes and teams should be extremely proud of themselves, as they have balanced academics with practice and games," said ACCC Commissioner Dean Myrick. "I am very proud of them, along with the faculty and staff at our amazing colleges for the work they do in preparing our student-athletes for life outside of athletics.”
