Women’s Basketball Soars Past Northeast Mississippi, 83-52

HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Women’s Basketball team delivered
                        an emphatic victory on their home court, defeating Northeast Mississippi Community
                        College 83-52 at Tom Drake Coliseum.
                     
                     Sophomore guard Kallie Tinker led the Lady Lions with a game-high 18 points, hitting
                        six three-pointers and showcasing her sharpshooting skills. Freshman guard Kameron
                        Sanders added 13 points and five rebounds, while freshman forward Sinaya Gibson chipped
                        in 12 points and six rebounds.
                     
                     Wallace State’s defensive dominance and efficient offense were key, as the Lady Lions
                        shot an impressive 46.8 percent from the field and controlled the boards with a 49-41
                        rebounding advantage. The team also dished out 23 assists, highlighting their strong
                        ball movement.
                     
                     The Lady Lions set the tone early, outscoring Northeast Mississippi 21-8 in the first
                        quarter and maintaining their lead throughout the game. Key contributions from the
                        bench included freshman guard Idaysia Mercer, who tallied eight points and eight rebounds,
                        and freshman guard Heather Tetro, who added 11 points and three rebounds.
