Women’s Basketball Rolls Past Chattanooga State

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Wallace State Community College Women’s Basketball team achieved a 71-48 victory over Chattanooga State Community College on Friday night.
 
Sophomore guard Kallie Tinker was on fire, leading all scorers with 21 points, including seven three-pointers. Freshman forward Sinaya Gibson added 11 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore guard Nylaa Fuller contributed 11 points and seven boards of her own.
 
Wallace State’s defensive pressure and rebounding were pivotal, with the Lady Lions collecting 46 total rebounds and holding Chattanooga State to just 17.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc. The game saw strong team chemistry, highlighted by 17 assists from the Lady Lions.
 
The Lady Lions pulled ahead early, taking an 18-9 lead after the first quarter, and maintained their momentum throughout the game. The bench provided key contributions, with freshman guard Heather Tetro adding eight points and freshman guard Jaden Toney chipping in four points and six rebounds.
