Lady Lions Cruise Past Motlow State with an 86-21 Victory
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — The Wallace State Community College Women’s Basketball team dominated
in an impressive 86-21 win over Motlow State Community College on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Lions demonstrated exceptional teamwork and efficiency, with freshman guard
Idaysia Mercer leading the charge. Mercer scored a game-high 20 points and pulled
down seven rebounds, while sophomore guard Kallie Tinker contributed 16 points, including
four three-pointers.
Wallace State’s defense was unrelenting, holding Motlow State to just 20% shooting
from the field and forcing 31 turnovers. Freshman guard Kameron Sanders was a key
playmaker, tallying seven steals and four assists, while sophomore forward Sinaya
Gibson added 11 points and six rebounds.
Wallace State jumped out to a commanding 24-4 lead in the first quarter and maintained
their dominance throughout the game, outscoring Motlow State in every period.
