Hanceville, AL — Wednesday, May 15 is the deadline to submit an application to the Wallace State Department of Nursing Education for Fall 2024 admission.

The program offers a number of pathways for students, including a new evening option on the Hanceville campus for the first three semesters of the traditional Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) and a new joint enrollment option with Athens State University (ATSU), allowing students to concurrently earn both an associate degree and bachelor’s degree.

Nursing classes are also offered at the Oneonta Academic Center for the first three semesters of the traditional ADN option, with these classes offered in a hybrid format. Completion of the first three semesters in the traditional ADN pathway allows students to sit for the Practical Nursing licensure exam, allowing them to work as and LPN as they complete the program if they wish.

The program continues its joint enrollment option with the University of Alabama at Birmingham for students to simultaneously earn both an associate degree and bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Wallace State Nursing also offers apprenticeship opportunities to selected nursing students starting in their second semester, with a variety of healthcare facilities in north and central Alabama participating.
